Metsä izand

from I by Tuima Tuuli

lyrics

Giant pines, nourished by blood,
Bind their roots with bones.
Bears walk along dense paths,
Stalking their prey.
Every beast here yields
To the master`s otherworldly hand.
The owner of the forest, passionless killer,
Asks for a bloody tribute.
Harmony of death is in the thick of the woods.
The ancient law here is as follows.
The ones that eat grass at the bend
Become prey of wolves.
Wolves grow old and die.
Their flesh will rot to the bone —
And from that flesh, again,
Green grass will thrive and grow.
If in the night, under the starless haze,
There is no hubbub over the firs,
Metsä izand, passionless killer, asks for a bloody tribute.
Metsä izand! Harmony of death is in the thick of the woods.
The forest`s owner with a crooked scythe
Is wandering around his estate.
And there is no way which leads there.
And all the attempts are in vain.
Ancient dark gods rule here.
You are not the owner of the forest.
Metsä izand! There is no hubbub over the firs.
Metsä izand! You are not the master of the forest.
