Ippocalyptica This album surprised me as much as Deafheaven’s New Bermuda did upon its release five years earlier, and it is nearly just as impressive of a post-black metal tour de force. SOMN have demonstrated beyond any doubt their grasp of the style, and could very well surpass Deafheaven’s opus on their next release. The All-devouring emanates fusion reactor-level energy levels and demands from its listener a strong emotional investment, with the results being both hypnotic and cathartic. Good stuff!

Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) A very consuming and demanding album, but one with nothing but rewards to give. It's such a wonderful and pleasant listen, every time the final track starts my heart rises in excited anticipation. Favorite track: The All-devouring.

Valdyr666 Quite possibly the most criminally underrated blackgaze release of recent years. Absolutely stunning from front to back. Favorite track: Tempest.
